Community

Bringing people together to celebrate, support, and grow.

Culture

Honouring our Guyanese heritage and traditions.

Connection

Building bridges across generations and across Calgary.

A little piece of home, six thousand kilometres away.

Founded on 25 April 1991, the Guyana Canada Cultural Association (Calgary) is a volunteer-run home for Guyanese people, families, and friends across the city. We host the celebrations that keep our traditions alive, and we show up for each other in between.

Whether you arrived last month or were born here to Guyanese parents, there is a seat at the table for you.

  • Cultural celebrations that mark Mashramani, Independence, Diwali, Phagwah and more
  • Family programming that gives kids a real connection to where they come from
  • A network of neighbours for newcomers finding their footing in Calgary

Come out and lime with us.

Everything we do is open to the wider Calgary community — bring a friend who has never tasted pepperpot.
